Rakes is a Staff Software Engineer at Lyft. He is one of the first team members who designed and build the Adaptive Platform for Feature Generation in Realtime and ML model execution. The Adaptive platform processes millions events per minute in realtime and run Machine Learning models to compute the primetime for all regions. Currently, this platform powers critical products at Lyft.

He is passionate towards sharing his learning and experiences with other professional. He often writes technical blogs and has presented at various conferences. He loves to connect with like minded person.

Prior to Lyft, Rakesh worked in Location based applications and managed different products mainly around safety of the family members. Currently, he is working on another project called Scrabily that makes schools a safe place for children and provide a better way to connect teacher and parents.

When he is not working, he rides his e-skateboard, and enjoys reading new books.
